FREEDOM TRAINING GROUP
PRIVATE LESSONS AND INSTRUCTION
Freedom Training Group professionals specialize in training men and women of all ages who possess little to no experience with firearms. Legal and responsible use of firearms requires knowledge and skill. When considering the safety and security of your loved ones, you and your family deserve the best. Train with Kentuckiana’s preeminent firearms instructors. From concealed carry to home defense to recreation, FTG’s intensive, focused training methods produce measurably higher levels of confidence and competence among participants. Our nationally certified instructors take you to the next level, regardless of your experience.
Private lessons are suitable for any person who wants one-on-one training or for a person who requires additional assistance, including special medical issues. Private lessons are equally fitting for couples and moderately small numbers of participants, including immediate and extended family members, friends and associates. Separate sessions can be arranged for larger groups, private organizations and clubs. Please note that the larger setting does not produce the higher levels of confidence and competence of the more personal setting.
Basic sessions emphasize essential marksmanship skills and techniques upon which shooting performance is built. Intermediate and advanced sessions include more complex techniques that incorporate critical defensive firearms techniques. To be eligible for advanced training, a person must be able to establish prior basic training with FTG or other recognized source. Live fire exercises depend on the demonstrated capabilities of participants.
Women’s groups, private organizations, and clubs schedule small group sessions regularly. Click here to learn more about FTG’s Women-Only Training Programs.
There are four levels/categories of immersion training: basic; intermediate; advanced and special needs. FTG Instructors teach people to safely operate handguns and shotguns rifles in 2, 3 or 4 hour sessions. The length of each session depends on the skills, experience level and goals of the person. Training plans focus on essential marksmanship skills and techniques upon which shooting performance is built and progresses in phases as skills are achieved. Live fire exercises vary depending on the demonstrated capabilities of the student. Rifle training formats and length of sessions vary due to the number of attendees and their respective experience levels.
Firearms Selection Assistance
Separate instruction is available for people who do not own firearms or are not sure of the type of firearm they need or want. Prospective gun owners are discouraged from rushing out and purchasing a handgun just to take training. FTG will allow clients to test and evaluate different semi-automatic pistols and revolvers during private basic pistol sessions. At the same time, the students learn basic safety, gun-handling and marksmanship. There are no additional fees for testing and evaluating the handguns; ammunition is not included, thus trainees must reimburse FTG for the cost of ammunition they expend.
Sessions are conducted at private outdoor facilities free from the distractions of public shooting ranges. Mobile training teams will bring programs to your location provided the facilities are appropriate for the subject matter. Training plans, length of sessions, and rates vary as each immersion session is customized. Sessions are scheduled on demand, 7 days a week at private indoor and outdoor facilities free from the distractions of public shooting ranges.
